in rainbows

Tonight has been very frustrating (wordpress was being a shit head after I tried to change the theme of the street style blog) and I kinda want to make it in blogger just because I know the format and how to edit it se much better and it's a lot easier to use but apparently it's "more professional" which I actually don't care about that much because hey, the Satorialist uses blogger. But anyway rant over. I thought I might share some little things and have a therapeutic photoshop montage sesh.
This afternoon I finished school early so I went op shopping (twice weekly occurrence, I think I'm addicted to shopping) and went to the Red Cross store which I don't usually go into but I found an electric blue pencil skirt, a white t-shirt and a geometric shirt-dress sort of thing. I might post pictures on the weekend. But anyway the point is I have now quenched my thirst for the bright pencil skirt and white top ~Jil Sander style~
These are so nice. Seriously I love how simple and modern Jil Sander is while still being really feminine and playful. My skirt is a similar colour to the one on the right. yay.
Also I had a look at the Arnsdorf site and had a look at their previous(?) collection and I'm diggin' it immensely.

I really want to try the whole colour blocking thing but um I don't want to look like a walking acid trip or rainbow vomit but I'm thinking maybe just trying one really bright coloured thing with plain everything else. This Arnsdorf collection has all these great little ~vibes~ like the yellow sweater is conservative perfection, the fur is fabulous slutty grandma (aim in life) and the blue and white is kind of maid-y/pilgrim-y. And the red is just in there because I'm trying to convince myself that block red can be worn because I need to wear my red blazer out at some point.  Sarah, just do it you ninny.
Arnsdorf has this almost tumblr-esque image/inspiration page which is pretty neat http://arnsdorfnyc.com/news if you want to check it out...
Also I made my first online purchase yesterday!
I could never find the sunglasses I wanted but I found a close (and cheap!) alternative on ASOS. Nothing crazy amazing but just simple that hopefully will suit everything. Stay tuned, hopefully they will arrive in a couple of weeks.
